Stephen Drake Jr., a 47-year-old African American male from Pittsburgh, PA, was tragically killed on May 5, 2018. Drake, a beloved husband, father to 11 children, and grandfather to four, was a well-known community activist who worked tirelessly to ease tensions in the Homewood neighborhood. He was riding his motorcycle in the early morning hours when he was gunned down in the Shadyside neighborhood. Detectives believe the shooting was targeted, but the motive remains unclear.
