On June 10, 2018, Kavon Worlds, a 28-year-old man from Pittsburgh, PA, was fatally shot in the Mt. Oliver neighborhood. He was found in the 100 block of Church Avenue around 4:07 a.m. and later died at UPMC Mercy Hospital. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed his death, and county homicide detectives launched an investigation to identify the suspect. The motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
