Chad Merrill, a 25-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity from York, Pennsylvania, tragically died on July 21, 2018. He was shot outside the Red Rose Restaurant & Lounge in Hellam Township after an altercation. Surveillance footage showed that Chad was shot in the chest by James Saylor, who was kicked out of the bar earlier for using a racial slur against Chad's friend.
