In the Olney section of Philadelphia, a 24-year-old Black male named Markeise Chandler tragically lost his life on the evening of February 28, 2019. The incident occurred just before 6:15 p.m. on the 200 block of West Wellens Street, where Chandler was shot multiple times. Police responded to the scene and transported him to Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after at 6:29 p.m.
