Deborah McClendon, a 42-year-old Black woman, tragically lost her life on the night of May 16, 2019, in Philadelphia, PA. She was caught in a crossfire while returning home from a nearby Chinese restaurant, where she had gone to get food for her young granddaughter. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. on the 2200 block of North 23rd Street. Deborah was shot twice and rushed to Temple University Hospital, but unfortunately, she did not survive her injuries.
