On October 9, 2019, Luis A. Perez, a 25-year-old male from Lancaster, PA, tragically lost his life in a shooting incident. The incident occurred in the 600 block of South Lime Street, where surveillance footage captured a confrontation involving Perez and three individuals, including 14-year-old Rahmir Hopkins. During the altercation, Perez was seen falling into the street and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
