In the morning hours of a Sunday in October 2019, tragedy struck in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia. On October 27th, at approximately 9:27 a.m., police responded to a call on the 4700 block of Shelmire Avenue. There, they discovered 20-year-old Shahib Williams, a Black male, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead.
