In the winter of 2019, the life of 20-year-old Dain Theodore Vollrath was tragically cut short in Swatara Township, Pennsylvania. On the evening of December 14th, Vollrath was discovered on the floor outside his apartment on Pajabon Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Dain, a former student of Dauphin County Technical School's carpentry program and a supervisor at UPS, was remembered for his love of the Philadelphia Eagles, tattooing, and spending time outdoors.

Nine days after the fatal incident, on December 23, 2019, Swatara Township Police arrested 25-year-old Juan Garcia of Harrisburg in connection with Vollrath's death.
