On December 27, 2020, Quamir Tunnell, a 20-year-old Black male, was tragically shot and killed in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on the 6200 block of Elmwood Avenue. Quamir was found in front of a grocery store suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Despite being rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police, he succumbed to his injuries later that afternoon.
