On April 26, 2021, 31-year-old Tiffany 'Bug' Busch, a White female from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, died from a gunshot wound to the head inside her family's Virginia Avenue home. Described as a free spirit full of love, life, and happiness, she was a nurturing mother to her two young children, Leonardo Bunnell and Auria Sofia Busch.
Initially, Tiffany's husband, Chad Busch, who was 33 at the time, informed authorities that his wife had accidentally shot herself during an argument. However, the evidence at the scene and forensic analysis told a different story. Pathologists determined that the angle and distance of the gunshot made it impossible for Tiffany to have inflicted the wound herself. At the time of the fatal shooting, the couple's three-year-old child was in the same room, just a few feet away, while an older 11-year-old child was in another bedroom.
Following the investigation, Chad Busch was arrested and charged with criminal homicide and two counts of aggravated assault. He was subsequently held at the Cambria County Prison without bail. In April 2022, Chad Busch pleaded guilty to third-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife. He was sentenced to serve 20 to 40 years in state prison for the crime.
