In the heart of North Philadelphia, a community was left to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss of Latoya Wright, a 37-year-old Black female whose life was cut short on the morning of Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Just before 11 a.m., in the vicinity of North 28th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, the sound of gunfire pierced the air.
