On the night of December 26, 2024, 28-year-old Black female Tahira Wynn was fatally shot while sitting inside a white Cadillac SUV on the 700 block of Union Street in the Mantua section of West Philadelphia. At approximately 10:03 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered both Tahira Wynn and 53-year-old Black male Kemo Vaughn unresponsive in the vehicle. Medical personnel pronounced Vaughn dead at 10:10 p.m., followed by Wynn at 10:11 p.m.
