In a tragic sequence of events, 39-year-old Maisah Larkin, a female, was found deceased in her Philadelphia home on the evening of Sunday, December 18, 2022. Authorities discovered her on the first floor of her residence located on the 1900 block of Haines Street. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. The motive for the incident was described by police as domestic.

Following the discovery of Larkin's body, a frantic search ensued for her three missing children, a set of two-year-old triplets. An alert was issued to the public as law enforcement began searching for the toddlers and their father, 37-year-old Stanley Baptiste, who was identified as the suspect in Larkin's death. The search for Baptiste led authorities to Lansdale, a suburb approximately 20 miles north of Philadelphia, where he had an apartment.

Authorities in Lansdale located Baptiste's vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. As the car slowly rolled to a halt, officers discovered that Baptiste had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The three young children were not inside the vehicle at the time. A wave of relief came on Monday morning when state police announced that the triplets had been found safe at a home in Lansdale. They were reported to be physically unharmed. The case concluded as a murder-suicide, with Stanley Baptiste being the sole suspect in the death of Maisah Larkin.
