In the early morning hours of November 6, 2021, the life of 32-year-old Lafayette Holt was tragically cut short in Philadelphia. Residing on South Yewdall Street, he was discovered on a porch on the 6000 block of Regent Street, suffering from a gunshot wound. The call to Philadelphia Police officers came in at 1:07 a.m., and upon their arrival, they found Holt in critical condition.
Emergency services transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in an attempt to save his life.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced deceased at 1:34 a.m. The cause of his death was determined to be a single gunshot wound to the lower back. At the time of the initial reports, no weapon had been recovered from the scene.
