On November 7, 2021, at approximately 5:05 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 800 block of East Willard Street in the Kensington neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Shamecca Franklin, a Black female, lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately transported her to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead that evening.
