Jessica Helene Covington, a 32-year-old Black woman, tragically lost her life on November 20, 2021, in Philadelphia, PA. She was seven months pregnant at the time of her death. Covington was shot multiple times while unloading gifts from her baby shower outside her home on the 6100 block of Palmetto Street in Lawncrest. Both she and her unborn child were pronounced dead at Einstein Medical Center shortly after the attack.
