On a cold winter’s night in Philadelphia, the life of 42-year-old Jemeel Mccoy was violently cut short. On January 2, 2022, on the 2500 block of North 28th Street, Mccoy, an African American male, was shot during a carjacking at approximately 9:23 p.m. Responding officers found him wounded in the street and rushed him to Temple University Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
