In the winter of 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the late-night quiet on South Main Street in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, leaving a scene of chaos and tragedy. When the sounds of the shots faded, 31-year-old Maurice Chapman and another man, Damian Thomas, lay dead from their wounds. A third man was also seriously injured in the violent encounter that unfolded just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 30th.
