On the night of February 23, 2022, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a report in the 3000 block of Arizona Street in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals inside a silver Kia Optima, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the head. The victims were identified as Juan Carlos Sanchez, a 20-year-old Black male, and Iyad Muhammad, a 19-year-old male. Medical personnel pronounced both men deceased at the scene.
