On February 27, 2022, Allen Moochie Parker Newton, a 31-year-old male from Pittsburgh, PA, was tragically shot and killed in the Homewood neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. when Pittsburgh police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of Frankstown and North Homewood Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Allen unresponsive and pronounced him dead at the scene.
