On a summer evening in Philadelphia, tragedy struck on the 5000 block of Pearl Street. It was August 2, 2022, when Neroy L. Brown, a 30-year-old Black male, was shot multiple times. Responding officers discovered him inside a private vehicle and immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in an effort to save his life.
