Treshawn J. Tracy, a 15-year-old male student at William Allen High School in Allentown, PA, tragically died on September 25, 2022, from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. Treshawn was known for his talents in music, writing, and production, as well as his love for dancing and fashion. He was a member of the high school football team and was remembered as someone full of life and with a beautiful soul.
On September 27, 2022, a
16-year-old named Elijah Patterson was arrested and charged with first-degree homicide in connection with Treshawn's death. Patterson allegedly had an altercation with Treshawn at Stevens Park, during which he shot Treshawn three times with a handgun. Patterson was charged as an adult and remains in custody without bail. The Allentown community reacted with shock and grief, and a vigil was held at Stevens Park to remember Treshawn.
The Allentown School District responded to the tragedy by making grief counselors available to students and planning a community forum on school safety. The incident highlighted ongoing concerns about gun violence and the need for community efforts to promote peace and positive relationships among youth.
Treshawn's family, including his parents Lisa Tracy and Bijorn Trent, his siblings Daiquan Tracy, Rodney Edwards, and Danazia Tracy, and his niece Safire Tracy, continue to mourn his loss. The case remains under investigation, and the Allentown Police Department continues to seek any additional information that may aid in the prosecution of Elijah Patterson.
