On the evening of October 31, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the night on the 200 block of West Ontario Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, leading to a tragic loss of life. Responding to reports of the shooting at approximately 8:17 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers arrived to a chaotic scene. They discovered 26-year-old Gage Figueroa, a Hispanic male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
In a desperate attempt to save his life, the officers placed Gage in their patrol vehicle and rushed him to Temple University Hospital. Despite the urgent efforts of the medical staff, Gage Figueroa succumbed to his injuries and passed away that night. The violence of that evening also claimed the life of another man, 27-year-old Sayon Brown, who was also shot multiple times and pronounced deceased at the same hospital. A third victim, a 22-year-old woman, sustained gunshot wounds to both of her legs and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, where she was listed in stable condition.
