Leonard Rudolph Ruppert III, a 17-year-old male of German descent from Hamilton, Ohio, tragically lost his life on March 30, 1975. Leonard was one of eleven victims in what became known as the Easter Sunday Massacre. The perpetrator, James Urban Ruppert, Leonard's uncle, fatally shot his entire family in their Hamilton home. The massacre claimed the lives of Leonard's parents, his grandmother, and his seven siblings, ranging in age from 4 to 17 years old.
