Delrec Dwayne Avant, a 22-year-old African American male from Momence, Illinois, tragically lost his life on June 20, 2014, in Columbus, Ohio. He was fatally injured in a one-vehicle traffic crash at 5730 Roche Drive, where he and Dorcas D. Law, 24, were found with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. Avant was transported to Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m. Law was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuri ...
