David Cahill, a 23-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically lost his life on December 23, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. Cahill was working behind the counter at a Stop-N-Go Food Store near the Ohio State University campus when two armed men, Thomas Waters and Bobby Reed, entered the store. Waters, who had just robbed another Stop-N-Go on Columbus' west side, shot Cahill in the chest at point-blank range when Cahill reached for a six-pack of beer.
