On May 10, 2015, 15-year-old Jesse Hayes tragically died after being accidentally shot in the face by his 28-year-old cousin near Leavittsburg in Trumbull County, Ohio. The incident occurred on the night of May 9, 2015, when Jesse's cousin, who had been drinking and talking about hunting, showed Jesse a new shotgun and unintentionally pulled the trigger. The cousin claimed he didn't know the gun was loaded.
