On October 6, 1989, David McGriff was tragically shot to death in Dayton, Ohio. The incident occurred in the area of 333 Hopeland, located in Montgomery County. After being shot, McGriff managed to get into his dark blue 1981 two-door Grand Prix and attempted to drive away. Unfortunately, he was unable to make it far and subsequently collided with another vehicle. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement, no suspects were apprehended, and the case remains unsolved.
