He was found lying on the sidewalk at the corner of Marcia Drive and Myrtle Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, as he was simply taking a walk around his neighborhood when he was shot.
The investigation into Eddie's death has been ongoing, but no
arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved. The Columbus Police Department and Central Ohio Crime Stoppers have repeatedly appealed to the public for any information that could lead to an arrest or indictment. The Lovely family has been vocal about their desire for justice, hiring a private investigator and raising funds to offer a reward for information leading to the resolution of the case.
