Abel Salazar, a 33-year-old Hispanic male from San Antonio, Texas, tragically lost his life on September 30, 2016. Salazar was found dead inside a barrel at a home near Trumbo Road outside Loop 1604. The medical examiner determined that he died from gunshot wounds. His family described him as a loving and generous individual who was passionate about sharing his testimony through Christian rap music.
The investigation into Salazar's death led to the arrest of 20-year-old Derrick Rodriguez.
