On the evening of September 22, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred outside the Vibe Sports Bar and Grill, located in the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue on San Antonio's East Side. The incident resulted in the deaths of 14-year-old Romeo Lashaylo Cedillo and 21-year-old Brandon Jobe Armelin Jr. A third individual sustained injuries but was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
