On January 6, 2016, Aboubakary Diawara, a 15-year-old boy of West African descent, was tragically shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. Diawara was found on the front porch of a house in the 2300 block of Laurelwood Drive, shortly after 7 p.m. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene at 7:26 p.m. The incident was reported to the Columbus Police Department, which responded to the scene and began an investigation.
