Kenneth Lamont Pearson, a 48-year-old African American man, was found shot to death in the front yard of his North Linden home in Columbus, Ohio, on August 25, 2015. He had been shot multiple times, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., and a neighbor reported hearing six or seven gunshots. Pearson's death was the 62nd homicide in Columbus that year.
