Shaquan Brown, a 17-year-old African American male from Columbus, OH, tragically passed away on August 24, 2017. He was shot while walking through an apartment complex on Canonby Place in Columbus. Shaquan was known to be a respectful and well-liked individual in the community, often seen hanging out at the apartment complex and even making a rap video there.

Following Shaquan's death, Dejuan Hicks, a 23-year-old man, was arrested and charged with his murder. Hicks was taken into custody ...
