TaShawn M. Darby, an 18-year-old male of Black ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed on September 30, 2019, outside a home in the 900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue in Columbus, Ohio. The incident was reported to the police around 8 a.m. that morning, and TaShawn was pronounced dead at the scene. This marked the 81st murder in Columbus that year.
