In the quiet hours of a late December morning, a tragedy unfolded that would shatter a Columbus, Ohio community. On December 30, 2025, Spencer Tepe, a 37-year-old male, and his wife, Monique, were found dead in their home. The discovery was made after Spencer, a dedicated dentist known for his punctuality, failed to show up for work, prompting concerned colleagues to request a welfare check.
When police arrived at the family's residence, they were met with a heart-wrenching scene.
Spencer and Monique had been fatally shot. Their two young children, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy, were found physically unharmed inside the house. Investigators determined that the couple had been killed in the early morning hours, between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM. There were no signs of forced entry, and no weapon was recovered at the scene.
