Dezmond Anthony Vaughn-Butler, a 17-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, tragically lost his life on October 31, 2023, following a shooting incident in the South Linden neighborhood. The shooting occurred around 9:30 PM in an alley behind a residence on Cleveland Avenue. Vaughn-Butler was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day, November 1, 2023.
