On May 2, 2018, Mario DiPenti, a 51-year-old man from Columbus, Ohio, was fatally shot in a dispute with his neighbor, Joshua S. Ferrell. The incident occurred in the 3000 block of Westmoor Court, where DiPenti was found with a gunshot wound in the street and was pronounced dead at the scene. The altercation between DiPenti and Ferrell began the previous evening when their vehicles nearly collided, escalating into a physical confrontation the following morning.
