Cameron Charles Jordan, a 22-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on October 4, 2022, in Columbus, OH. He was one of two victims in a double homicide that occurred in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood. The other victim, 20-year-old Eugene Daniels III, also of African American ethnicity, was killed in the same incident.
The Columbus Division of Police arrested a suspect, 19-year-old Omarion King, in connection with the shooting.
King was taken into custody without incident by SWAT officers shortly before 10 p.m. on the day of the incident. He has been charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Jordan and Daniels.
The incident took place around 6:20 p.m. on October 4, 2022, in the 1000 block of Atcheson Street. Both victims were found shot outside on the street and were pronounced dead at the scene. This case marked the 107th and 108th homicides in Columbus for the year.
The investigation revealed that this was one of three shootings in Columbus within a six-hour period on October 4. Another shooting occurred on the city's north side, leaving one person critically injured, and a later altercation at a south Columbus apartment complex resulted in one fatality. However, police have not released information about possible suspects in these other shootings.
