On October 24, 2017, Abdisalam Mohamud, a 25-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred around 3:13 p.m. when the Columbus Division of Police received multiple calls about a vehicle crash at the intersection of North Cassady Avenue and Agler Road. Upon investigation, it was determined that Mohamud had been shot just before the crash. He was transported to Grant Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries at 3:41 p.m.
