Jahream Beard, a 35-year-old African American man from Springfield, Ohio, tragically lost his life on June 17, 2018. Beard was killed in a shooting outside the Wagon Wheel bar on South Burnett Road early Sunday morning. The incident occurred on Father's Day, adding a layer of tragedy to the already somber occasion. Beard's death was not an isolated incident in his family; his brother, Kahlee Beard, was also a victim of gun violence, having been shot and killed in Columbus in January 2012.
