On August 23, 2020, 29-year-old Alexander Anderson, a male of unspecified ethnicity from Newark, Ohio, was fatally shot in Kimbolton, Ohio. Anderson was found lying in the road with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred when Anderson's vehicle broke down, and he was waiting for help alongside a female friend. The friend called 911 to report the shooting and fled the scene in Anderson's vehicle.
