Cortez Lee Davis Sr., a 35-year-old African American man from Akron, Ohio, tragically lost his life on January 21, 2021. He was fatally shot in the 1200 block of Park Lane Drive, a dead-end street with brick duplexes. When police arrived at the scene, they found Davis near one of the homes, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear, as no witnesses reported hearing any arguments or disturbances before the incident.
