Marquiez Dewayne Lawrence, a 25-year-old Black male from Columbus, OH, tragically died on February 17, 2021, after being shot multiple times at an apartment complex on the city's Northeast Side. Lawrence was transported to Mount Carmel East hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported seeing a male suspect, also Black, firing shots at Lawrence before fleeing in a black Chrysler 300.
