Nerico D. Moses James, a 33-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on April 7, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on March 2, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, to Anthony James and Kimberly Statum. James was found with a gunshot wound at the intersection of East Livingston Avenue and Nelson Road, near a Family Dollar store. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after police arrived.
