On April 20, 2021, 33-year-old Dell Fields Jr., a white male from Hamilton County, Ohio, was fatally shot behind an apartment house near the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, OH. The incident occurred around 3:38 a.m. when Columbus police were called to the scene in the 200 block of East 15th Avenue. Fields was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was quickly transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:36 a.m.
