Diontrae Fitzhugh, a 22-year-old man from Akron, OH, was fatally shot on June 18, 2021, during a gathering at Mount Peace Cemetery. The incident occurred after several shots were fired, and Diontrae succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. The gathering was a memorial for a teen who died in 2018, and the scene was chaotic with multiple vehicles fleeing and people running away after the shots were fired.
