In the early evening of a Thursday in Akron, Ohio, the life of 40-year-old Rysean Carter was tragically cut short by a hail of bullets. On May 14, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the South Akron neighborhood, near the intersection of Marcy Street and Cole Avenue, following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Carter in the driver's seat of a Jeep Latitude, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
