Nathan Antonio Sumner, an 11-year-old boy from Toledo, Ohio, tragically lost his life on August 20, 2021. Nathan and his 14-year-old brother, Miguel, were playing basketball outside their home in the 300 block of Austin Street when they were both shot in the head. The boys were rushed to the hospital, but Nathan succumbed to his injuries two days later. Miguel survived but suffered permanent brain injuries from the shooting.
