Derrick Fischer, a 32-year-old man from Akron, Ohio, tragically passed away on May 23, 2022. He was found in the basement of a residence in the 1000 block of Cole Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities received a call about the shooting late Monday night, and upon arrival, they pronounced him dead at the scene. The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating the homicide.
